The Cairngorms National Park is located in north east Scotland, officially established as a park in 2003. It is one of 15 National Parks in the UK and one of only two in Scotland. At 4,528 square kilometres, it is Britain’s largest National Park.
Twice the size of the Lake District and bigger than the whole of Luxembourg, the Cairngorms National Park has more mountains, forest paths, rivers, lochs, wildlife hotspots and distilleries than you can possibly imagine.
Five of Scotland's six highest mountains lie within the Park. The park is home to reindeer, ospreys, eagles, wildcats, red squirrels, and boasts an extensive array of activities that range from hiking, mountain biking and skiing; to whisky, castles and fishing.
